A Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program In Virtual Reality
Alabama Power created an initiative called JumpStartAL with TRANSFR to ensure students graduating from high school and 2-year college programs acquire the skills needed to get a job that raises their standard of living.
All of the job seekers who completed the TRANSFR training and mastered the skills were offered a job, making the program a huge success.
Closing a 500,000 Skilled Jobs Gap
Alabama is projected to have a shortfall of 199,000 skilled workers by 2026 that will increase to a shortage of 243,000 workers by 2030 if unaddressed.
